Persuasion - a testament to true love? 2009/04/16 11:54
Hi All, Has anyone else read Persuasion and thought it an example of how love conquers all and how destiny/fate brings us to the ones we are meant to be with? Would love to hear what others think of this fab but often overlooked Austen novel. x

In my mind the novel was about second chances. It made me wonder if Jane Austen regretted in her past a love that she had let slip away. Perhaps she wished she had done things differently? And so she gave Anne Elliot a second chance.
