Is there a Mr. Darcy for me? 2009/07/29 04:04
Hi all, I fell in love with P&P and decided over a year ago to read all the sequels. I am still reading. I love so many of them, but I can't help but wonder does love like this happen for anyone in real life? I'm inviting any of you who desire to share your story with me. I'm 40 and single and I'm starting to give up hope of every finding my Mr. Darcy.

My dear, I'm 22 and I'm single... I had a boyfriend for a year but he left me because he doesn't want me to study and he wants too many attentions...

Well, sometimes I think that there is nobody in the world like Jane's boys...
But I want to think that somewhere in the world there is a perfect man for all of us!
It's difficult to find the right person, but if you are patient, you'll surely meet him!
Then we'll live happily everafter with our Mr Darcy!

I'm sorry that you're single and unhappy about it... I've been single going on 6 years and it gets to me every now and then (especially around the holidays!) But it's my belief, too, that there is someone for everyone.

A couple of questions to ask are:

1) Am I doing anything about it? Am I doing things that will get me to meet people? Joining clubs, going to churches, community events, and so on?

2)Am I being the type of person to others that I myself would want to marry? There is a quote (I don't remember the exact context, but it's similar), "I went out to gain a friend and found none. I went out to be a friend, and found many." Same thing applies to love in my opinion.

I hope this came across as friendly advice and not anything preachy because that is certainly not what was intended!

Missy
