hi i'm new to the site and Miss Austen 2008/02/03 02:46
well first i didn't know that there was a person that is called Jane Austen and then i stared hearing about a novel called Pride and Prejudice, people were talking and i didn't understand so i read the book and it had a great impact on me and now Jane Austen is my role-model i look up to her and i appreciate her hard work on all her six novels (although i read only one) and i think she just lived her life to give the world something or probably deliver a message through her novels she wanted her voice to be heard she wanted people to read and understand that there is still hope and one day true love will be found. it's too bad that people don't like to read especially now reading rates are decreasing in the world so that's why people mock me when i tell them that i love to read so what i don't care if this whole world stopped reading i will not give up reading at all especially Jane Austen novels. if anybody told me that he/she loves reading i would be shocked but i would respect and admire that person and i love this website it has been made for a purpose and that's good probably you wouldn't see a 12 year old (me) having Jane Austen as a role model and i would be so happy to find someone my age says that he loves to read...

Hi austen Fan--It's great to have a young reader like you discover Jane Austen. I'm glad you don't let anyone deter you from reading the books you enjoy. I started reading PRIDE AND PREJUDICE when I was eleven or twelve years old, and I've gone through countless read throughs since. My second favorite Austen novel is SENSE & SENSIBILITY, and I hope you discover it soon. Happy reading!
