Hello from New England 2008/07/23 17:38
Hello! I am a new Jane Austen fan, I have read Pride & Predjudice and Emma in that order and I am now reading Sense and Sensibilty. I never thought I would like a Jane Austen book until I picked one up, which is odd because the very first book I ever read and fell in love with was Jane Eyre. I wish I had read them throughout highschool, I would have enjoyed them and found comfort in them. I am glad to be reading them now, alhtough i wish there were 10 more books to look forward to instead of just 3!

To tell you a little about myself, I am 23, newly married and am from Massachusetts.

Hi Miriam--I love Jane Austen's novels, and have read them countless times over the years. I first read Charlotte Bronte's JANE EYRE when I was ten or eleven years old, it's one of my favorite books, along with PRIDE AND PREJUDICE. I'm glad you have discovered JANE EYRE, and that you find comfort in reading it. Have you read any of the movies/television productions?

I too read jane eyre around the same age. I have seen a few different bronte and austen movies. I love seeing the characters come to life. I actually just recently watched a lighthearted movie called "Lost in Austen." It was quite long but it was fun. I wouldn't call it "good".. just fun. hehe.

I might have to re-read some books soon though, any good author suggestions ?

Besides Jane Austen and Charlotte Bronte, do you read other classic authors? What other types of books do you like to read?
