Anybody on here we haven't "met" yet? 2007/11/16 16:07
If you are new to the site, please take a minute and introduce yourself. Perhaps tell us what brings you to Austenfans and what your favorite Jane Austen novels are. Or tell us when you first "met" Jane.
You can also just stop by here for a quick introduction.
P.S. If you have introduced yourself before but want to answer any of these questions, we would love to hear from you as well, this is topic not limited to new members.

I came across this site via the Georgette Heyer site, whilst looking for Regency authors as good as (or nearly as good as) Ms Heyer. The only one I've come across so far that comes close is Jane Feather. I thought a Julia Quinn I read was amusing, but I don't think she quite got the language right.
My first exposure to Jane Austen was in my early teens, when I saw the 1980 BBC series of "Pride and Prejudice". After that, I read the novel (and now have 3 or 4 copies of it) and was, henceforth, hooked on Jane. I think I've read P&P about 15 times since then, though not for a few years now.

Is this board active at all? I've introduced myself weeks ago but apparently there's not even an administrator or moderator present to welcome new members... *scratches head*
