I didn't read the book, but from the description I now know that I never will. Gosh when will you people stop making there lives seem like everything bad is going to happen... Grrr... people who do these kinds of things piss me off... I liked the book Darcy's passions because atleast it stuck to the story. - lydia

A Harlequin novel in Jane Austen sequel clothing...

I read these books and they just killed me as the author completely and utterly bastardizes Jane's characters into soap-opera caricatures of themselves! I realize that sounds a bit extreme but I had finally had enough when Darcy ravages Lizzy right before a ball and then instructs her to not clean up, implying that she should just head downstairs with his ejaculate running down her legs. Now I'm fine with sex and all but this scene was the death knoll to me - not only simply gross but so completely not acceptable in that society or to these two characters who are examples of appropriate behavior and tact - don't waste your time unless you really want a Harlequin novel under the premise of a Jane Austen sequel - Sarah Lenhart
