About Us Section

Austenfans.com was started in 2007 by a group of Jane Austen fans—people who love the books, the characters, and the movies—from an independent book publishing company, Sourcebooks, Inc.  Lots of Sourcebooks’ staff and management love Jane Austen and as a result, Sourcebooks became the home of many different Austen-style novelists.  That small group created Austenfans.com out of love and admiration for Jane Austen’s life and works.

Austenfans.com is an online community that welcomes all Jane Austen fans and facilitates communication between them. We hope to encourage new and veteran Jane Austen readers to develop a deeper passion and understanding for Jane Austen, her works, the sequels and the adaptations to her novels.

To whom it may concern,

I am third year student at the Univesrity of Nottingham. For my film studies dissertation I have chosen to do a project based on how Jane Austen is integrated in to 21st century life. I was wondering whether it'd be possible to post a questionnaire on your site? I would very much appreciate it!

Thanks!
Regards,
Rachael

A Georgette Heyer Boxed Set?
written by Kathryn Kane, February 28, 2009
I was wondering if there was any chance that once Sourcebooks has finished publishing the Georgette Heyer novels in their current series that they might be available as a boxed set? Or, at the very least, a boxed set of These Old Shades, Devil's Cub and An Infamous Army. It would be very nice to have all the Alistairs corralled in a single set.

Thanks,
Kat

Hello, Do the participants here meet on a regular basis to discuss Austen's books in a book club format? I'd be very interested if this is so! Thank you.
